Is this a banker's lamp?
It has the posture of one, a shade angled down over the work, but the execution is metal and chrome instead of green glass and brass. If you want the stance without the antique costume, that is the Heron.
What adjusts on it?
The shade angle. Tip the folded shade to put the warm light on paper, on the keyboard, or away from the person across the desk. The stem and base stay planted.
What is the difference between Green and Black?
Only the shade finish. Both versions carry the same chrome stem and weighted round chrome base, the same folded shade shape, the same warm light.
What kind of light does it give?
Warm 3000K light, thrown down and forward by the folded shade. It is task light with a soft color, not a cold office beam.
How does it get power?
It is a corded plug-in lamp, supplied with a US plug. Set it where the work happens, run the cord to an outlet, done. No wiring, no installation.
How do I keep the chrome clean?
A soft dry cloth is all it needs. Skip abrasive cleaners and scouring pads, they will scratch the bright finish on the stem and base.
