Do I have to unplug my cables to install it?
No. The split seam runs the full length, so you press cables that are already in place in through the side and let the sleeve close on its own. There is no need to pull connectors off to get the run wrapped.
What lengths and diameters does it come in?
It is sold by cut length from 1 m to 10 m (3.3 ft to 32.8 ft), in a 13 mm (0.5 in) or 16 mm (0.6 in) bore. The sleeve expands to hold several cables, so the bore size depends on how many cords you are bundling.
Can I cut it to the length I need?
Yes. You cut it to length with scissors, then tuck the cables through the split seam. Trimming it to fit your specific run is part of how it installs.
Will it stay closed on its own, or do I need clips or ties?
It stays closed on its own. The woven self-wrap construction has a self-closing split seam, so once the cables are tucked in it re-closes without clips or ties. You can also open it again later because the seam re-closes.
What is it made of, and is it safe around power cords?
It is made of self-extinguishing flame-retardant PVC in a woven self-wrap construction. The braided weave has a matte finish with the self-closing split seam. The flame-retardant material is meant to suit gathering power and charger cables.
Does it protect the cables inside?
Yes. The woven wall shields the cables from rubbing, snagging, and wear where they bend over an edge. It also keeps separate cords from twisting back into a knot once they are gathered.
How do I clean it?
Wipe it clean with a dry cloth. If you need to resize or remove it, you can trim it with scissors or open the seam again later.
