Buy once. The room ages with you.
A short, honest note on what we make, what we ship, and the parts we are still working on. No infographics, no certifications we did not actually earn.
The most sustainable object is the one you do not replace. Everything else is detail.
We start from the assumption that you should buy a desk lamp once. So we pick suppliers whose finishes hold up under daily use, ship pieces backed by a clear return window, and resist the discount cycle that pulls a product off the shelf and into a landfill within a year.
The considered-consumption stance
Materials that age, not erode.
Brushed brass, solid wood, full-grain leather, cast iron. Patina is a feature; we do not coat it out.
Few pieces, no churn.
We add a small number of pieces at a time. We do not run flash sales and we do not push seasonal turnover.
Repair and refresh over replace.
A lamp shade, a felt pad, a touch-up oil. We stock the small parts so the whole object does not have to come back.
Things we have not solved yet
- The math on most consumer offset programs is generous in ways we are not comfortable with.
- We are moving toward recycled mailers; the inserts and tape are still the gap.
- We are talking with a partner about a trade-in for the floor lamps.
