Does it light the room or just the table?
The LED runs along the underside behind an acrylic diffuser, so it drops an even pool of light onto the work below rather than throwing it out into the room. That keeps the glow on the surface and out of your eyes. It is built to light a table or island, not to act as general room lighting.
Can I adjust the brightness and tone?
It runs warm light at 3000K with three-color stepless dimming, so you can move between tones and set the level without fixed presets. That lets you take it from a brighter working level down to a softer ambient glow. You stop wherever suits the room.
