Support in segments

A floating three-pad lumbar, a winged 6D headrest, and armrests that follow the recline.

Papilio, The floating lumbar
01

The floating lumbar

Three separate pads ride on their own unit, floating about 2 cm off the backrest and tracking your lower back as you shift. Contact follows you instead of you hunting for the pad.

Papilio, The winged headrest
02

The winged headrest

A winged 3D pillow with six directions of adjustment on every variant we sell. Set height, depth, and angle once and it holds position through the recline.

Papilio, Armrests that come along
03

Armrests that come along

They slide 5 cm, rotate 30 degrees in and out, flip up 90 degrees to tuck under a desk, and link with the backrest through the full 135 degree recline.

Which one is yours

Papilio in Black, in a workspace

Papilio in Black

The one you do not have to think about

Black recedes into a desk and lets the work be the loudest thing on it. It is the finish that photographs cleanly on a call, holds up against every wood tone, and is almost never the decision anyone regrets.

Papilio in White & Gray

Reads as light, not as furniture

White keeps a small desk feeling larger than it measures. Against plaster, paper and pale wood it stops registering as an object at all, which is exactly what you want from something that lives in front of you eight hours a day.

Questions

Good to know before you equip.

What does the floating lumbar actually do?

It moves with you. The three pads sit on a separate unit that floats about 2 cm off the backrest and tracks your lower back as you shift, so contact stays where you are rather than where the frame is. That is the difference between support you feel and a pad you reposition all day.

Will it fit my height?

The headrest-to-seat range runs 72 to 79 cm, which covers users from roughly 155 to 175 cm and up. Set seat height on the cylinder first, then bring the headrest to your neck in whichever of its six directions you need, rather than the other way around.

What does the 3-Layer cylinder mean?

It describes construction: the gas cylinder telescopes in three sections, which gives a compact column its full seat-height travel. It is a build detail, not a rating or a certification.

What do the armrests adjust?

Four things. They slide 5 cm forward and back, rotate 30 degrees in and out, flip up 90 degrees to clear a desk edge, and link with the backrest so your forearms ride along through the full 135 degree recline.

What is the footrest option?

A pull-out double-deck rest under the seat, on the With Footrest variants. It slides out for the deep recline and pushes back under when you are upright. The Without variants skip it and are otherwise the same chair.

How does it arrive and how hard is assembly?

One carton, 64 x 39 x 61 cm, about 20 kg net. The chair ships flat-packed with the assembly tools and manual in the box, so there is nothing extra to source before you build it.

Do you price for offices ordering several?

Yes. Trade pricing starts at the second unit and steps down through five, where the volume price applies. For larger orders than that, contact us and we will quote the units and the freight together.
