4 finishes

Which one is yours

A swatch tells you the colour. This tells you the room it belongs in.

Cathedra in Black, in a workspace

Cathedra in Black

The one you do not have to think about

Black recedes into a desk and lets the work be the loudest thing on it. It is the finish that photographs cleanly on a call, holds up against every wood tone, and is almost never the decision anyone regrets.

Cathedra in Gray, in a workspace

Cathedra in Gray

Neutral, without going invisible

Grey is the one that survives a room changing around it. It holds its shape against warm wood and cool metal alike, so it still looks right after the desk, the chair and the wall colour have all been replaced.

Cathedra in Yellow, in a workspace

Cathedra in Yellow

The one you notice from the doorway

One warm accent does more for a desk than three careful neutrals. Put yellow where the eye lands first and the rest of the setup can stay as plain as you like.

Cathedra in Green, in a workspace

Cathedra in Green

Reads calm, and photographs well

Green takes the clinical edge off a desk that is otherwise all screen and metal. It sits naturally beside wood and plants, and it is the finish that makes a workspace look like somewhere you chose to be.

Questions

Good to know before you equip.

How does the back support my posture through a long day?

The back uses an S-shaped bionic backrest with adaptive lumbar support that follows your spine, so it holds your posture through long stretches at the desk. The breathable mesh moves with you rather than pushing back flat. There is also a 30-degree tilt-recline with tension control for when you lean back to think.

Is the headrest adjustable for my height?

Yes. The 3D headrest raises up to 5 cm and tilts up to 60 degrees, so you can set it to meet your neck whether you sit tall or low. It adjusts independently of the seat height, which is set by the pneumatic lift.

What is the seat height range, and will it fit my desk?

Seat height adjusts from 16.9 to 20.1 in (43 to 51 cm) on the pneumatic lift. At full height the chair stands 26 x 26 x 42.5 in (66 x 66 x 108 cm). Check those numbers against your desk clearance and your own height before ordering.

How high are the armrests, and how far apart are they?

The armrests sit 26.8 to 29.9 in (68 to 76 cm) off the floor depending on where you set the seat, which works out to a constant 9.8 in (25 cm) above the seat pan because the arms travel with it. Across their outside edges they measure 24.8 in (63 cm), and each pad is 13.8 in (35 cm) long.

Can the armrests get out of the way when I pull in close?

Yes. The armrests flip up 90 degrees so they tuck away when you want to pull the chair right under the desk. That keeps them from blocking the desk edge during focused work, then folds them back down when you lean out.

Will this chair work if I am petite?

Mostly, with one number worth checking first. The seat bottoms out at 16.9 in (43 cm), which is the right height for a 5 foot 3 frame, and the armrests flip up if they sit high on you. The seat depth is 19.7 in (50 cm), which runs deep for a shorter frame. Sit all the way back in a chair you own and measure from your lower back to the back of your knee. If that comes to 21 in or more the depth is a non-issue. Under that, a cushion behind the lower back takes up the difference.

Will the chair roll away when I go to sit down?

No. It rides on gravity self-locking casters that hold still when you sit and roll freely when you rise. That means it stays put as you lower yourself in and moves easily once your weight is off the seat.

What colors does it come in?

The frame and five-star base are white, paired with a color-matched mesh back and headrest in Black, Gray, Yellow, Green, or Wine Red. The structural parts stay white across every option, so you are choosing the mesh tone that sits against your room.

How do I keep the mesh clean?

Wipe the mesh and frame with a soft damp cloth and let it air dry. The cationic elastic-fiber mesh does not need special cleaners, and the stainless steel base buffs up with the same cloth.
