What room size is this fan suited to?

How low does it hang from the ceiling?
It is a low-profile flush-mount design that sits close to the ceiling, with an 8.7 in (22 cm) drop. That makes it a good fit for rooms where you do not want a fan hanging far down into the space.
Can it run in reverse for winter?
Yes. It reverses with a tap of the remote, so the same fixture pushes a cooling draft down in summer and pulls warm air off the ceiling to recirculate it in winter. Both directions are controlled from the handheld remote.

Will this work with my existing ceiling box?
Only if that box is rated to carry a fan. The outlet box and its support structure must be UL-listed, marked for fan support, and able to hold 45 kg (99 lb) or more. Most boxes fitted for a light fixture are not rated for a fan and need replacing first. It is worth checking before you order, and worth having an electrician do the swap if the existing box is not marked.
Can I put it on a dimmer or a fan speed controller?
No. Do not run this fan through a solid-state fan speed control or a dimmer. Speed is handled by the remote, which gives six speeds plus forward and reverse, so a wall controller is not needed. Using one risks the motor and the electronics.
How much room does it need?
Allow 7.5 ft (2.3 m) from the blade tips to the floor and 18 in (46 cm) from any wall or obstruction. On a standard 8 ft ceiling the 8.7 in drop leaves comfortable headroom, which is the point of a flush mount. It is rated for indoor use only.
Can I install it without the light?
Yes. The manual covers both, with and without the light kit, so you can run it as a plain fan if you would rather not add a light to the room. The LED is integrated into the center housing, and the decorative cover finishes it either way.
