Metal in a warm brass copper tone. Two solid capped cylinders anchor the top and bottom, and a cage of vertical rods runs open between them, so the base has presence without bulk.
What kind of light does it give?
Warm light, diffused through a white fabric drum shade. The drum spreads it evenly instead of throwing a hot spot, which is what you want from a lamp this visible.
